Project Details & Key Challenges
- Project included installation of a new trail utilizing the existing roadway foot print, realigning a section of Anacostia Drive between Good Hope Road and Nicholson Street, replacing drainage, installation of a new parking lot, installation of soil bioengineering materials, installation of lighting including required electrical work, providing and installing site appurtenances including trash receptacles and park signs.
- Challenges included heavy pedestrian and vehicular traffic throughout the area, working around tides, and frequent flooding.
